There was a time when travelling was all about sitting in one place and driving till we reached our destination. However, with technological advancements, everything changed. Transportation too…got evolved. Television screens, audio and stereo support were common scene in every vehicle. And just when we all thought that transportation could not advance anymore, the revolution in the Internet changed everyone’s perspective. We are now capable of tracking our logistics, providing live traffic updates, online entertainment and playing songs through our favourite platforms as an extension to the amenities to the vehicle. By observing the exponential growth in transportation, researchers coined a new term for the field - “Intelligent Transportation System”.
What is Intelligent Transportation System (ITS)?
Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) is a broad term that encompasses the various technologies and systems used to enhance transportation efficiency, safety, and sustainability through the application of advanced technologies and data analysis.

Collecting, processing, and managing vast amounts of data generated by sensors, vehicles, and infrastructure components is a major challenge. Effective data management and analytics are critical for real-time decision-making and long-term planning.
